Gorgias Chat now supports embedding videos in live chat messages and chat campaigns.
How it works
On the agent side
In a chat ticket click the `Insert video` button on the editor toolbox (when in a live chat ticket or editing a campaign message).
Enter a valid URL of one of our supported third-party video providers (See the list below) and click the "Insert Video" button. The embedded video will be visible to the customer in the chat widget and in the helpdesk ticket messages by agents.
Note that if the video link is not of our supported providers, it will fallback to an hyperlink.
Finally, if you insert a video using the hyperlink feature it will will also generate a preview but you can choose to delete it which will not affect the hyperlink in the text.
- Embedded videos will always be displayed at the end after the text message
- Embedded videos are not available in macro and subsequent actions.
On the shopper side
They will be able to play the video directly in the chat widget or from the campaign bubble with one click. (For now there's no autoplay of videos.)
