AI Agent relies on your brand's knowledge to generate responses and answer shopper inquiries. Knowledge is made up of content from various sources, including guidance, help center articles, and snippets of information from your brand's website, URLs and uploaded documents.

From Knowledge, you can enable or disable content to control which information AI Agent uses in conversations with shoppers.

Note: This page controls your knowledge. Skills are managed separately, on the Skills page. Skills and knowledge work together to answer shoppers, so it helps to know how AI Agent chooses between them — see manage your skills and skills explained.

View all content

To see which content is currently enabled or disabled for AI Agent, use the filters at the top of the Knowledge page. Look for the "in use" checkmark next to each item on the page.

  1. Open the dropdown menu in the top-left corner, then select AI Agent.
  2. Click Knowledge.
  3. Click Add filter, then select In use by AI Agent.
  4. Choose is True or is False to see content currently enabled or disabled for AI Agent.

Enable or disable your content

From Knowledge, you can enable or disable your content to control what AI Agent can use. Turning on In use by AI Agent makes a piece of content available to AI Agent as knowledge. For a conversation that a skill handles, AI Agent draws on that content only if the skill's knowledge setting is on, which it is by default. See skills explained.

  1. Open the dropdown menu in the top-left corner, then select AI Agent.
  2. Click Knowledge.
  3. Select one or more pieces of content.
  4. Click the In use by AI Agent toggle to enable or disable the selected items.
Note: Help center articles can be enabled or disabled for AI Agent, but separately may also be set to public or unlisted to control whether they are visible to shoppers who visit your help center.
