Find and install apps for your Gorgias accountUpdated an hour ago
Who can use this feature?
Apps connect the tools you use everyday to Gorgias — including support channels like Gmail, Outlook, and WhatsApp, and ecommerce tools like Shopify and Klaviyo. The App Store is where you find, install, and manage these connections.
In this article, you'll learn:
- Find apps
- Get actions from a connected app
- Use apps
- Understand app types
- Find pricing, documentation, and support
- Remove an app
Find apps
To open the App Store, click Settings in the main menu, then go to Apps > App Store.
Browse available apps
The App Store opens to All Categories, showing every available app. Use the category navigation on the left side of the page to filter by type — categories include ecommerce, shipping, marketing, loyalty, analytics, and more. To browse apps that include pre-built actions for AI Agent, select Actions from the category list.
If you don't see an app you're looking for, click Request App at the bottom of the page to submit a suggestion.
View installed apps
To see the apps already connected to your account, go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
Install an app
Before you start, make sure you have login credentials for the service you're connecting to. Most apps require you to sign in to authorize the connection.
- Open the app's listing page in the App Store.
- Click the connect button. The label varies — you might see Connect, Add account, or something similar.
- Follow the steps to install the app. In most cases, you'll be redirected to the app to sign in and authorize Gorgias to connect. You're then redirected back to Gorgias once the connection is complete.
Some apps may have a different setup process. For example, you may need to fill out a form or complete additional steps outlined in Gorgias's documentation. The app listing and any in-app instructions will guide you through what's needed.
Once installed, some apps are ready to use immediately. Others may require additional configuration — check the app's documentation for next steps.
Get actions from a connected app
Some apps include pre-built actions — tasks AI Agent can perform on behalf of shoppers, like canceling orders or updating shipping addresses. To use actions from an app, you need to connect it specifically for AI Agent.
To connect an app for actions:
- Open the app's listing page in the App Store.
- Under Let Gorgias take action in [app], click Connect.
- Follow the prompts to authenticate.
Once connected, the app's actions appear in your actions library automatically.
Use apps
Apps extend what your team can do in Gorgias. Most fall into one of these categories:
- View customer context — see order history, loyalty points, subscription status, tracking information, and return details from within a ticket, without switching tabs
- Take action from tickets — process refunds, update shipping addresses, pause or cancel subscriptions, and trigger returns directly from Gorgias
- Connect marketing and retention tools — sync customer data with email platforms, loyalty programs, and review tools to coordinate support and marketing
- Extend your support channels — add SMS, voice, or live chat, and connect automation tools that help route and resolve tickets faster
Most apps require an account with the third-party service, separate from your Gorgias account. Pricing varies by app — some are free, while others require a paid subscription. Check the app's listing page for details before connecting.
Understand app types
Every app listing shows who built it, just below the app name: By Gorgias or By [another company].
Apps listed as By Gorgias are built and maintained by the Gorgias team — these are first-party integrations. Apps listed as By [another company] are built and maintained by that developer — these are third-party apps.
This distinction matters most when you need help. Who built the app determines who can best support you if something isn't working.
Get help with an app
For Gorgias-built apps, contact Gorgias support.
For third-party apps, the app developer is best suited to handle support, rather than Gorgias. To find the app developer's contact details:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Select the app.
- Check the Support section in the sidebar for the developer's contact information.
When you reach out, it helps to have the following ready:
- A description of the issue and when it started
- Any error messages you've seen, a screenshot or a video of the problem
- The email address associated with your account in the third-party app
Find pricing, documentation, and support
Each app listing includes a section with practical information about that app:
- Pricing — the cost to use the app. For third-party apps, the developer may set their own pricing, separate from Gorgias, which ranges from free to paid subscriptions.
- Resources — links to the app's help documentation and privacy policy
- Support — contact information for the app's support team. For third-party apps, this is typically the developer's support email.
Remove an app
You can delete an app if you no longer want it connected to Gorgias. Deleting an app can't be undone.
Any ticket views associated with the integration will be deactivated, and rules that use the integration as a condition will be turned off. If you've added the integration to any saved reporting filters, you'll need to remove it from those manually.
For some apps, you may also need to remove Gorgias from the connected app itself. For example, with Shopify, you would uninstall Gorgias from your Shopify admin. Check the app's documentation for details.
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Select the app you want to remove.
- Click Delete app and confirm.
Some apps support multiple connected accounts, shown in a separate tab on the app's page. If you see this, select the specific connected account where you want to delete the app.
