AI Agent Actions: ShipmonkUpdated 6 days ago

ShipMonk is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider that allows you to manage fulfillment, inventory and shipping for your online store.

When you set up an Action for ShipMonk in Gorgias, AI Agent can fully resolve requests from shoppers who want to make changes to their order or understand its status. This is especially useful if the order has already been sent to your warehouse team for fulfillment, but hasn’t shipped yet.

Available Actions for ShipMonk

  • Get fulfillment data from ShipMonk → this Action allows AI Agent to use shipping information to answer shoppers’ questions about the status of their order — for example, “where is my order?” (WISMO-type questions)
    • You may choose to use ShipMonk to answer WISMO-type questions in the case that it has more up-to-date fulfillment information than is available in Shopify.
  • Update shipping address in ShipMonk → this Action allows AI Agent to update the shoppers’ shipping address in ShipMonk
    • AI Agent confirms with the shopper their updated shipping address. So long as orderStatus in ShipMonk is not shipped or cancelled, AI Agent updates the shipping address in ShipMonk and provides confirmation of the change to the shopper.
  • Cancel order in ShipMonk → this Action cancels an upcoming order for a shopper
    • AI Agent confirms with the shopper that they want to cancel their order
    • AI Agent attempts to cancel the order in ShipStation. This Action is successful so long as the orderStatus in ShipStation is not shipped or cancelled
    • AI Agent confirms with the shopper that their order has been cancelled

      • Note: in order for the shopper to receive a refund for their cancelled order, AI Agent must also use Cancel Shopify order.
  • Reship order for free in ShipMonk → this Action allows AI Agent to duplicate and resend an order to a shopper at no additional charge (for example, when an order gets lost in transit or arrives damaged).
    • When a shopper asks about the status of their order, AI Agent will interpret the shipping info in ShipMonk to evaluate whether the order has been in transit for too long and can be considered lost
    • A shopper may also tell AI Agent that their order arrived damaged
    • If an order is damaged or considered lost in transit, AI Agent offers to reship the order
    • AI Agent duplicates the previous order and sends an email confirmation to the shopper with the details of their order
    • The shopper is not charged any additional amounts

  • Admin or Lead permissions in Gorgias to set up this Action
  • Your API Key from ShipMonk

Connecting AI Agent to ShipMonk (find your API Key)

You will need an API key from ShipMonk in order to set up Actions that give AI Agent access to your fulfillment data.

To get your ShipMonk API key, send an email to [email protected] or contact your dedicated ShipMonk account manager.

Once you’ve obtained your API key, return to Gorgias to set up the ShipMonk Action.

  1. Go to Automate > AI Agent, then select the Actions tab
  2. Select the Action for Get fulfillment data from ShipMonk
  3. Select Use Action
  4. Enter the API Key you obtained from ShipMonk
