Who can use this feature?
Connecting your BigCommerce store to Gorgias gives your support team direct access to customer order history and purchase data alongside every ticket — no tab-switching required. With your store connected, you can view customer profiles enriched with BigCommerce data and manage orders without leaving your helpdesk.
What to expect
With your BigCommerce store connected to Gorgias, you'll have access to:
- Customer profiles Customers who have a matching profile in your BigCommerce store will have their data appear in Gorgias.
- Order data Without leaving Gorgias, you can view order details and shipping information for each customer directly from the ticket sidebar.
- Order actions From the ticket sidebar, agents can create new orders and process refunds without leaving Gorgias.
- Article recommendations Gorgias can automatically suggest relevant help center articles to customers based on their questions, powered by your connected store data.
Connect a BigCommerce store
When you connect a BigCommerce store to Gorgias, you'll be redirected to the BigCommerce App Marketplace to install and authorize the Gorgias app, then brought back to your helpdesk once the connection is complete. If you manage multiple BigCommerce stores, repeat these steps for each store you'd like to connect.
- From your helpdesk, click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner.
- In the menu, locate Workspace, then select Store.
- Click Add new store in the top-right corner, then select BigCommerce.
- Select the Connections tab, then click Connect BigCommerce. You'll be taken to the BigCommerce App Marketplace where the Gorgias app is listed.
- Click Install.
- Enter your Gorgias subdomain, then click Find my account.
- BigCommerce will ask you to authorize the permissions Gorgias needs to access your store data.
- After approving the permissions, BigCommerce will redirect you back to Gorgias.
Once connected, Gorgias begins importing your BigCommerce products, customers, and order history in the background. Depending on your store size, this import may take some time to complete. You'll receive an email once the import is complete.
Connect channels
Assign specific channel integrations to each store so that your customer tickets can be traced to the store they came from. Once you assign a channel to a store, you can filter tickets by store to create views or set rule conditions, rather than filtering by channel alone.
- From your helpdesk, click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner.
- In the menu, locate Workspace, then select Store.
- Search for and select the store you'd like to manage.
- Click the Channels tab.
- Select a channel from the list.
- Use the side panel to set up the channel, then click Save changes.
