How many languages can Gorgias detect?Updated 4 months ago

Gorgias can currently detect up to 54 languages in your support tickets.

How it works

You can use languages to create view filters. For example, you can create a view to show Spanish tickets only.

Language detection can also be helpful in rules. For instance, you can use it to assign Spanish tickets to an agent who speaks Spanish.

Disclaimer 1 Please keep in mind that the tickets will not be automatically translated to English.

Disclaimer 2 The chat widget setup allows for a shorter list of supported languages than stated above at the moment as mentioned here. The ones mentioned above can still be used anywhere else!

Limitations

  • Our language detection will only affect the message body as of now, not the subject of the ticket.
  • The proper language will not be detected if the message body is written in two different languages.
  • Also, the language cannot be detected for one-word and short messages.
