Add or change your payment methodUpdated 24 days ago

Your Gorgias subscription is paid using your primary payment method. You can change your payment method or add a new payment method on the Billing & usage page.

Requirements

  • You must be an Admin user to change payment methods

Adding a payment method

  1. Go to Settings > Billing & usage
  2. Select Payment Information, then Add Payment Method
  3. Choose a payment method, then enter your details
  4. Select Add Payment Method to finish

Available payment methods

You have several options to pay your Gorgias subscription. Some payment options are based on your geographic location. Your location also affects whether you are charged taxes on your subscription.

If you need to change your billing address after reviewing these options, visit the Billing & usage page to update your address.

  • Credit Card (includes Google Pay) → available to all customers

    • When you add a new credit card, you will see a temporary charge of $1 on your card. This authorization charge allows Gorgias to verify your payment method. It will be refunded within 7 days.
  • ACH debit (pay with a US bank account) → available to eligible customers located in the United States.
  • Pay via Shopify → if you installed Gorgias using the Shopify app store, then charges for Gorgias will appear on your regular Shopify subscription bill. You will pay for Gorgias using the same payment method that you use for your Shopify subscription.

Paying with ACH debit

ACH (Automated Clearing House network) is a type of electronic bank-to-bank payment. If you’re a Gorgias customer located in the United States, you may be eligible to use a USD bank account as the primary method for paying for your subscription.

At the moment, we only offer ACH debit to vetted accounts with a track record of reliable payments. If you do not see an option to Add a US bank account in your Payment information, then you may not be currently eligible for this type of payment method. Adding and verifying a bank account

When you add a bank account as a payment method, you authorize Gorgias to withdraw amounts from your bank account using ACH for verification and to pay for your subscription.

In order to use ACH debit, you must first add and verify a US-based bank account as a new payment method.

  1. Go to Settings > Billing & usage > Payment Information
  2. Select Add Payment Method, then choose US bank account

    • Gorgias uses Stripe (a third-party payment processor) to securely verify and connect your bank account
  3. Enter your banking details, then follow the prompts from Stripe to select which bank account you want to connect
  4. Select Connect Account
  5. Select Add Payment Method to finish

Disputing ACH transactions

If you encounter a transaction that you believe is incorrect or fraudulent, you can dispute it. Send a message to [email protected] to report the transaction.

Paying taxes on your subscription

If your business is located in Canada, Australia or the European Union, then Gorgias is required by law to charge applicable taxes on your subscription.

Go to the Billing & usage page to update your billing address and add your VAT ID (Europe), HST/GST numbers (Canada), or your ABN (Australia).
